The Opera Glove Blog

glamkitty-beauty.com mentioned the Royals, so I might as well advise you that with help from one of my regular visitors, I'm getting ready for a pretty spectacular update to the Royals section. I have a stack of books waiting to be scanned, most of which have very rare and historical images from the 1950's of then-Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret in white and black opera gloves (most of the photographs are in B&W). Great stuff, and For the Love of Opera Gloves is (or will be!) on it.
Oh, incidentially, I've gotten all the DVD's I was waiting for when I last reported to you. I'm partway through vidcapping "Batman Forever", though I might do the disc over again after I get my Athlon installed. (Does anyone know the _right_ way to get the cooling system set up on an Athlon???)
Upgrade mania continues apace. I bought myself a new video card last weekend, an ABit Siluro GF4 MX based on the nVidia GeForce 4 MX440, and tomorrow I'm planning to have an Athlon T-Bird 1400 CPU installed in my computer. Actually, I hope that last will help system stability; my box of late seems to be getting balky about things like full-screen video and AOL IM.
You know, folks, I _really_ have got to start keeping up with this particular thing more often. *mumble* *grumble* *coming close to inarticulate rant*
Ahem. Pardon me. I was just feeling irritated with myself for not doing my duty by you. Anyway, I wanted to let you know that For the Love of Opera Gloves has been reviewed - indeed, it's gotten the FIRST review - from this site:
We get four paws out of five. Obviously, someone out there likes what we're doing. :) I do wonder, though; just how do cat paws fit into an opera glove? Ah well, Michelle Pfeiffer seemed to manage it for "Batman Returns". (Yes, I KNOW she wasn't wearing operas in that movie - but she was wearing long cat gloves to go with her cat suit, and that's what counts. See also Julie Newmar.)
